Who we are

What the form collects
Your name and email address, your phone number if you give it, how many properties you have, their postcodes (just the start is enough), and anything else you choose to tell us.
Please don’t include tenants’ names or contact details in the form. We’ll ask for those only if you decide to go ahead.
Why we collect it
To send you your price and agreement, and to set up your account if you go ahead. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
We don’t use your details for marketing, and we don’t sell or share them.
Where it goes
When you send the form, your details are emailed to us. They are not saved in a database or on the website.
The email is sent by Resend, an email delivery service, and the website is hosted by Vercel. Both may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. [CONFIRM: processors and transfer safeguards]

To stop abuse, the website briefly keeps a count of enquiries per internet address in memory. It is cleared within an hour and never written down.
How long we keep it
If you don’t become a client, we delete your details [CONFIRM: 12 months] after our last contact with you.
If you do become a client, we keep it with your client records for as long as the agreement lasts and as required afterwards. Your agreement will explain this.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and runs no tracking scripts. If we turn on visitor statistics, we will use a cookieless service that counts visits without identifying you, and say so here.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, have them deleted, or object to how we use them. Email hello@rentcert.co.uk.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
